Our goal: PlanMatch should be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We're committed to widely recognized accessibility standards and to fixing issues when we find them.
Our commitment
PlanMatch, operated by Benefits Life, is committed to making our website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We believe everyone should be able to compare coverage and reach a licensed insurance agent with ease.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard referenced by most accessibility laws and best practices. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to align the Site with these guidelines as we build and update it.
What we've done
Steps we take to support accessibility include:
- using semantic HTML structure and headings so screen readers can navigate the page;
- supporting keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators on interactive elements;
- choosing color combinations intended to meet contrast guidelines for readable text;
- providing text labels and descriptions for controls, links, and meaningful images;
- building a responsive layout that works when the page is zoomed or viewed on a small screen; and
- respecting your system "reduce motion" setting to minimize animation.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Accessibility is a continuous process, and we are actively working to identify and resolve issues. If you run into a barrier, please tell us — your feedback helps us improve.
