Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. It bundles your Part A and Part B coverage, usually adds prescription drugs and extra benefits, and uses a provider network.

Advantage plans must cover everything Original Medicare does, and most add drug coverage plus extras like dental, vision, hearing, or fitness benefits, along with a yearly cap on in-network medical costs. In exchange, you generally use the plan's network and may need referrals. You keep paying your Part B premium.
